It is October and Fall is here! We live in Texas and Houston is still feeling hot all through the day although recently we are getting hit with cool early mornings that gives us hope for the upcoming weeks ahead. Fall time brings many outdoor opportunities for us and for the kids even more park days up ahead. We will soon say bye to that high 90 degree weather and move closer to some cooler temps that make being outside more bearable. It is no mystery here but what helps me get through it is packing SNACKS. Yes all the snacks! You can’t ever go wrong with packing up food your kids love to snack on and even more when you know it’s not only delicious but healthy too.
5 Fun Ways to Keep Your Kids Busy this Fall with Crunch Pak
Whether you like to plan ahead or go with the flow the struggle is real for us all. Here are 5 fun ways to stay busy this fall with fun activities that keep your kids busy.
Have a Picnic
Some other things I hear moms struggle with is seeing their kids starving when they get home from school and stressing out with not finding the proper food items that can fuel them up. Next time your kids are starving after school try one of these Crunch Paks– I promise you even your picky eater will even eat too. Perfect way to have picnic outside on the porch or your backyard as the sun is going down and the weather feels cool outside.
Go to the Park
Another way to spending some time outside. If your neighborhood has a park or you have a local one where you stay this is the perfect place to let them play to work off their energy. Pack those Crunch Pak snacks because you will sure need them. Easy and convenient when you are on the go.
Visit a Museum
We recently went to the Children’s Museum downtown. It is quite a drive from where we live and I packed a small cooler and filled it up with drinks, yogurts, and my Crunch Pak for that one hour drive. It was perfect since all the kids were distracted eating and watching a movie they did not mind the long commute with traffic. One thing to check with your local museum is free family admissions. Most offer this one day out if the week (usually on a weekday mid afternoon)
Visit a Pumpkin Patch
Who else uses pumpkin patches as the perfect opportunity to take family photos with all their amazing set ups and does zero pumpkin buying? I can’t be the only one here to do this. This is my absolute favorite thing to do in October. We usually go 2-3 times and end up buying the small pumpkins once they are marked down. And my oldest always goes with the biggest pumpkin he can find. Great way to save money and still keep the kids happy.
Go to a Sports Game
This has been on my list for so long and honestly at the very top to make it happen this fall. My kids have been asking to go to a Football game this season or even a baseball game. They just want to join in with the fans and show their hometown spirit too. Attending a football game is a major event and can cost a lot of money. As a family of five it can get expensive but I think the experience for us as a first time will be so worth it. And as mentioned packing some snacks to eat before and after the game will be most ideal for us.
With a variety of flavors and combos Crunch Pak delivers a healthy snack fit for every activity you plan on doing. Our go to favorite pak is the Foodles & Paw Patrol varieties- with so many to choose from.
