TEXAS SUMMER ROAD TRIP WITH TOYOTA

September 4, 2020

THE NEW 2020 TUNDRA 1794 EDITION CREWMAX

As some of you may know we are a proud Toyota family. Last fall I purchased the new Highlander Limited Platinum and we completely love it. So when Toyota reached out for their Toyota Summer Roadtrip campaign I knew right away we wanted to experience the new 2020 Tundra 1794 Edition CREWMAX.

The Tundra was the first North American full-size pickup to be built by a Japanese manufacturer. The Tundra was nominated for the North American Truck of the Year award in the past years. The 1794 Edition is a Western themed package which includes Lexus-grade saddle brown leather interior, heated/cooled/powered front seats, wood trimmed steering wheel and dash, power sunroof, blind spot monitoring, an Entune Premium JBL sound system with a navigation system, unique 20″ alloy wheels and 1794 Badging .

The special trim is stamped with badging and is finished with a unique interior that pays homage to both the ranch and the facility itself. Here are a few things that make this truck special.

TEXAS ROADTRIP TO THE DFW AREA

We got to do a fun road trip to the DFW area and do a weekend stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort all while practicing safe social distancing. 2020 has changed everyones plans. It has been a time of uncertainty for many of us. We cancelled our summer vacation to California but we knew doing a road trip in Texas was something we were completely comfortable with. Over the years my kids and I have learned to love road trips. I think because now that they are older it is just more easier as they have more patience with long hour trips.

FAMILY OF FIVE? NO PROBLEM

Believe it or not that was our first time in a truck. Even though we are used to driving an SUV it was an easy adjustment with plenty of loading space. Actually more than I had imagine for us with 3 kids who tend to over pack. It is a five passenger vehicle with seats that are spacious. The seats are also heated and have the cool system (which is needed in this Texas heat) and adjustable to where you need them to be. Another upside there is plenty of  leg space. I  had my purse, a beach bag, and the kids snack bags all in my leg area with plenty of wiggle room to move around.

The interior is beyond beautiful with so much detail and space. It’s a full size truck luxury with perforated leather trimmed seats that adds a classic western look.

LET’S NOT FORGET SAFETY

The best is the safety with Toyota! Their Toyota Safety Sense is the best. It carries a bundle of active safety features that are included on many new Toyota vehicles at no additional cost. These innovative features were designed to help protect you and your passengers from harm. This high-tech cruise control uses radar behind the Toyota badge plus a camera on the windshield designed to adjust your speed, helping you maintain a preset distance from the car in front of you. This is one of favorite features while on the road. There is also a lane departure alert by alerting you when it senses that you’ve veered from your lane.

If your family loves to travel as much as mine does you’ll love this truck for your next ride. Traveling right now will look a little different. Might as well make it fun!
