LOVE BEGINS AT HOME- CHRISTMAS 2017 RECAP

January 6, 2018

With the holidays that just ended (sadly) and my busy days lately since the kids have been on Christmas break our schedule has been all over the place. And I never got time to share some of my favorite spots in our home during this Holiday time. As a matter of fact it is almost January 6 and my decor and tree are still up. And if I am being 100% honest I plan to keep it that way until the end of this weekend. If I could I would go all month like this. But I know I can’t let that happen. So for the moment here are a few photos I captured this past month.

I feel like the holidays came and went so fast but the memories we made will last forever. Movies by the fireplace snuggled on the couch, had pizza maybe two times out of the week, and Chick Fil A for breakfast every morning, lots of arroz con leche and tres leches cakes and ending with that late night wrapping of course a day before Christmas for the third year in a row. Funny how we wait all year for this magical time and in a matter of weeks it ends so quickly.

And since this mom failed at Family Holiday photos this year since all 3 kids were sick all month. Well lets just leave this family photo here and call it a day.

I’m not big on Resolutions but I felt one was ne I’m not big on Resolutions but I felt one was needed to add in this year and that is SAVING. Budgeting has never been my thing. But if there was ever a time I started saving on groceries it is now. 2021 will be all about budgeting for my family and I and it’s with a very good reason behind it. But those are some other big news I’ll share with you all later...

Last year I said Animal Kingdom was our favorite p Last year I said Animal Kingdom was our favorite park I even wrote a blog post sharing all the tips, top rides, and favorite foods for AK. This year however the park is the only one that closes early so even with half a day here we did so much. We even did Expedition Everest 3x in a row because... no lines. Still can’t believe how empty AK felt! I still think it’s definitely a park you don’t want to skip out on especially to experience Pandora, it’s so magical every single time. My number one task was to wake up early set my alarm for 6:59AM to get boarding passes at 7AM. I know there’s many who asked me how did I do it. I’ll share on stories tonight step by step (and I’ll save it in a highlight) First thing we did when we arrived at the park is hit Toy Story Land and did Slinky Dog first (which is the most popular ride at the park based on wait times) we did all the rides at TSL and then proceed to Galaxy’s Edge. By lunch time we had finished ROR and all of the above. We could had never accomplished all of this before 12 pre c o v i d. My husband and kids even convinced me to get on the Aerosmith ride which I have been avoiding for years. Since it’s the biggest height requirement ride (48”) we had to do a rider switch so Elyse and Ryan got to do it back to back. We finished the day after eating at Mama Melrose with the newest ride- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Overall this was by far the most successful day we have experienced at the park. #DisneyMagicMoments
We are back at Magic Kingdom ✨and it’s just as We are back at Magic Kingdom ✨and it’s just as magical as before even with masks on.

Few things I wanted to answer based on your questions that I have received in my DMs. Yes, you’ll need a park reservation & a park ticket to get in. Disney is currently at 35% capacity right now (but that’s based on their all time high numbers at 100% full) Personally I have never seen Main Street so empty for this busy time of year. We got to ride all the major rides we wanted. The highest wait time we saw was 80min for Space Mountain & I wanted to turn away but the kids wanted to get in line so I timed it and it took us 30ish minutes to get in & the same thing for Seven Dwarfs- in and out in about 35 min even with the long line wrapped around. The lines might seem scary long but keep in mind they are doing social distancing so everyone is spread out in the lines and on the ride as well. We also got to eat at CRT for the first time and we all loved it. The food and the atmosphere did not disappoint one bit. Totally worth the money in my opinion. Next thing- did I feel safe? Yes I absolutely did. Everyone was wearing a mask at all times, I never saw an adult nor any children not having it properly on. They are sanitizing stations everywhere even throughout the rides and before getting on too. Plus we each had a bottle and used it all day like crazy. I’ll be answering more throughout my stay and on stories. But overall if you are thinking about visiting @waltdisneyworld any time soon my advice is JUST GO FOR IT! It’s the best time to avoid those overly large crowds. #disneymagicmoments
